Earn Extra Income

Why not earn money from letting your holiday home while you’re not using it. The valuable income you earn from holiday letting could contribute to your annual pitch fees or enable you to enjoy even more while you’re away at your home from home.

As the leading operator of medium-sized UK Holiday Parks, Park Resorts advertise extensively online and in the National Media and work closely with Hoseasons and other Tour Operators as well as Travel Agencies such as Cooperative Travelcare. Such a strong brand presence and our reputation for great value family holidays means that Park Resorts attracts thousands of holidaymakers every year, particularly during school holidays. This demand for self-catering holidays at our Parks means a constant demand for quality holiday home accommodation.

That’s where you can benefit! Holiday Letting can be a valuable source of income with many of our owners earning enough Holiday Letting income to cover their annual running costs.

Details of the Park Resorts Holiday Letting Programmes can be found in our comprehensive ‘Guide to Holiday Letting’. Ask for a copy when you visit the Owners Elite Enquiry Centre at the Park.

Most of our new and existing owners consider Holiday Letting at some stage and we have listed the most commonly asked questions to consider before deciding to let your holiday home to holidaymakers…

Do I have to let through Park Resorts?
You are free to let your holiday home through the Park Resorts Holiday Letting Programme, let privately or even use a combination of both. The choice is entirely yours.

Is there an age limit on holiday homes I can let?
Yes, if you want to take advantage of Holiday Letting through Park Resorts then your holiday home must be no more than 7 years old. The Park Holiday Sales Manager will provide you with detailed information regarding the potential grade and earning guide for your specific caravan.

What commission do you charge?
If your holiday home is let through Park Resorts, a commission fee of 19% plus VAT is charged to the net accommodation tariff after discounts and facility charges. Full details of commission and costs can be found in the ‘Park Resorts Guide to Holiday Letting’. Pick one up from the Owners Elite Enquiry Centre.

How much money will I earn and when is it paid?
This really depends on the number of weeks you allow your holiday home to be let for and during what time of the year. Income levels are not guaranteed, unless you sign a ‘Guaranteed Income Agreement’ (See ‘Guaranteed Income Agreements’ for more information). The earnings guide will give you an idea of how much you can earn with flexible Holiday Letting, indicating average earnings for each grade of caravan based on recent years. Income is accredited to your account at the end of the season.

Can I claim tax relief?
If you are a taxpayer and your holiday home is to be let for 20 weeks or more and is actually let for 10 weeks or more, you may be entitled to a tax rebate. Your Owners Elite Team can put you in touch with an independent tax specialist for further help and advice.

When is the best time to let my holiday home?
You can let your holiday home for 3, 4 or 7 nights at any time.
  • 3 night weekend breaks (Friday to Sunday) are in high demand throughout the season, particularly outside of the summer period and school holidays.
  • 4 night midweek breaks (Monday to Friday) are most popular during school holidays and peak holiday times.
  • 7 night breaks (Saturday to Saturday) are again most popular during school holidays and peak holiday times.

If you want to secure the highest levels of income, while enjoying plenty of quality time at your holiday home, then ask your Holiday Sales Manager for advice on the best times to let your holiday home.
